Cornerstone Counsel’s Founder and Managing Partner, Ceyhun Pehlivan, participated in a high-level gathering held at the Residence of the Ambassador of Türkiye in Madrid during the official visit of Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat, Minister of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye, to Spain.
The meeting brought together senior representatives from government, diplomacy and the business community to discuss the continued development of the economic relationship between Spain and Türkiye and to explore opportunities for strengthening bilateral trade and investment.
During the event, Ceyhun had the opportunity to exchange views with Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat, Minister of Trade, Mustafa Tuzcu, Deputy Minister of Trade, H.E. Nüket Küçükel Ezberci, Ambassador of Türkiye to Spain, and H.E. Cristina Latorre Sancho, Ambassador of Spain to Türkiye.
The discussions focused on the continued expansion of bilateral trade and investment, the opportunities available to companies operating across both jurisdictions, and the importance of maintaining a stable legal and regulatory framework that supports cross-border commercial activity.
As a lawyer advising businesses on cross-border investment, commercial transactions and regulatory matters, and as Secretary General of the Spanish-Turkish Chamber of Commerce, Ceyhun works closely with companies investing and operating between Spain and Türkiye. Supporting clients in navigating two legal systems while facilitating international business and investment remains a central part of Cornerstone Counsel’s practice.
Events of this nature play an important role in strengthening dialogue between governments, businesses and professional advisers, helping to create new opportunities for investment, innovation and long-term economic cooperation.
Cornerstone Counsel thanks the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye and H.E. Nüket Küçükel Ezberci, Ambassador of Türkiye to Spain, for organising this excellent initiative and looks forward to continuing to support businesses operating between Spain and Türkiye.
