Fundación MAPFRE Hosts Cultural and Networking Evening for the Spanish-Turkish Business Community

Fundación MAPFRE recently hosted an exclusive cultural and networking event in Madrid, bringing together members of the Spanish and Turkish business communities, representatives of the diplomatic corps and professionals from a variety of sectors.

The evening began with a private guided tour of the exhibitions dedicated to renowned photographers Richard Avedon and Alejandro Cartagena. The exhibition provided attendees with the opportunity to explore two distinctive photographic perspectives, ranging from Avedon’s iconic portraiture to Cartagena’s contemporary visual narratives examining society, identity and urban transformation.

The programme continued with a networking reception on Fundación MAPFRE’s terrace, offering an exceptional setting for dialogue, professional exchange and relationship-building among participants from both countries.

The event was attended by representatives of the Turkish diplomatic and commercial institutions in Spain, including Nur Alkış, First Counsellor of the Embassy of Türkiye in Madrid, Gizem Şen, Counsellor at the Embassy, and Önder Şafak Tongal, Head Commercial Counsellor of Türkiye in Spain.

Particular appreciation is due to Javier Moreno and Borja de la Torre Marín for their hospitality and leadership in hosting the event. As a member of the Board of Directors of the Cámara Oficial de Comercio e Industria Hispano-Turca, MAPFRE continues to play an important role in supporting commercial, economic and institutional relations between Spain and Türkiye.

Ceyhun Pehlivan, Secretary General of the Spanish-Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Managing Partner of Cornerstone Counsel, attended the event together with Chamber President Yasemen Korukcu.

Events of this nature demonstrate the value of combining business, culture and international dialogue. They provide an important platform for strengthening professional relationships, fostering cross-border cooperation and promoting closer ties between the Spanish and Turkish business communities.

Cornerstone Counsel is pleased to support initiatives that encourage international cooperation, cultural exchange and stronger economic relations between Spain and Türkiye.
