Ceyhun Necati Pehlivan is actively involved in academia, combining professional practice with teaching and academic leadership in technology, data and regulatory law.
He regularly contributes to executive education and postgraduate programmes, with a focus on the legal and regulatory implications of digital transformation.

IE Law School
Ceyhun has been Adjunct Professor and Academic Director at IE Law School since 2019, teaching across executive education programmes, master’s degrees and undergraduate programmes.
He has consistently received the Teaching Excellence Award, granted based on student evaluations and awarded to the highest-rated professors, reflecting sustained recognition for the quality of his teaching.
Master’s Degree
He is Academic Director and Adjunct Professor of the executive programme Leading Legal Transformation: Strategy, Innovation, and the Digital Future.
He also teaches in executive programmes, including:

- Law, Policy and Technology
Bachelor’s Degree
At postgraduate level, he teaches in the Master in International Legal Studies (MILS) and the Master of Laws (LL.M.), delivering courses including:
- Internet, Data, and the Law
- Cybersecurity Law
- Cybersecurity in Practice
He also designed and teaches the course Derecho en la Era de la Innovación Tecnológica, developed for the Master’s programme of Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (Centrum PUCP).
Executive Education
At undergraduate level, he teaches courses related to digital law, data protection and technology regulation across programmes including:
- Bachelor in Philosophy, Politics, Law and Economics (PPLE)
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)
- Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA)
Thesis Supervision
Ceyhun has directly supervised more than fifty theses and research projects in law and dual degree programmes (including Law, Business Administration, and International Relations), covering areas such as artificial intelligence, data protection, cybersecurity, intellectual property and medical regulatory law.
He also regularly serves as a member of academic committees, participating in the evaluation and defence of theses and research projects.

He is currently a University Lecturer in Law at the Escuela de Práctica Jurídica of the Complutense University of Madrid.
He has also held academic positions at leading institutions, including:
- Adjunct Professor at ISDE Law & Business School (Master in Corporate and Financial Management), teaching courses on acquisitions of intangible assets and technology companies
- Lecturer in the Executive DPO Programme at the University of St. Gallen, focusing on technology and intangible assets in M&A transactions
